The Harford County Child Advocacy Center (CAC) is a multi-disciplinary, child-friendly place which has been operational since August of 1993. We are committed to “best practices” in the investigation and intervention of crimes against children. The CAC attained full membership (accreditation eligible) with the National Children’s Alliance in 1998 and was re-accredited in the spring of 2005. Our team consists of a Coordinator, Forensic Interviewers, Family Advocates, Therapists, a Pediatrician, County, State and Federal Law Enforcement, as well as Assistant State’s Attorneys.
MISSION:
We are the Harford County Child Advocacy Center. Through commitment, advocacy and collaboration we investigate, educate and serve to heal victims of child maltreatment and their families. Through outreach with our community we stop abuse when it happens and prevent abuse before it begins.
VISION:
Our agency is the recognized community expert in the areas of child abuse, exploitation, and maltreatment. Our proactive response includes: Providing quality investigations, therapeutic services to all family members, education, medical support and linkage to other community resources. We commit to always making the child our first priority.
